Partners in Hope’s Molecular Laboratory supports the Ministry of Health’s Viral Load and Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) testing programs, playing a critical role in strengthening national diagnostic capacity and improving patient care outcomes. In response to the increasing demand for high-volume testing and the need for more advanced diagnostic technology, Partners in Hope upgraded its laboratory systems with state-of-the-art Roche platforms.

The laboratory recently installed the Roche COBAS 6800 and COBAS 5800 systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and testing capacity. These high-throughput molecular diagnostic platforms are designed to process large sample volumes within shorter turnaround times, thereby improving the laboratory’s ability to meet national testing demands effectively.

In addition to increasing testing capacity, the new systems expand the laboratory’s diagnostic capabilities through a broad and versatile test menu. This enables the facility to support a wider range of molecular assays while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability. The upgraded technology also strengthens workflow automation, reduces manual intervention, and improves overall operational efficiency within the laboratory.

Through these advancements, Partners in Hope continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the Ministry of Health in delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality diagnostic services that contribute to improved healthcare delivery and patient management.
